An Afternoon with Bailey

Last Friday I picked Bailey up from school.  She wanted to go to McDonalds for lunch so I thought I would take some pictures of our day.
This picture is proof for Brandy that I gave her chocolate milk and not soda. (Uh.....don't worry about the half gone 32 ouncer in the background, that was left by the previous guests).

We had a nice conversation with our lunch.  I learned that you CAN NOT throw snowballs at school, it's one of the rules and you will get in lots of trouble if you do it.  I also learned that this boy named Mace is very mean to Bailey and he is always chasing her and hitting her.  I asked her if she has told him to stop it and she said "yes, I have and he told me if I say that again he is going to do it some more".
(Mace.....you better look out, I am watching you).
After she ate all of her lunch I let her go and play.  It is so fun to watch kids and how they get so excited about everything.  Even though she didn't know any of the other kids there she had a really fun time ( I know this because she had to yell it to me from the top of the playzone).

Everything was going great until she opened her Happy Meal and found THIS!  She had a little moment of tears saying she did not want this toy....IT'S A BOYS TOY!  I politely asked the kid working behind the counter if they had any of the "Princess" toys left over from last week.  He said "NO",without even looking!  I knew I wasn't going to get anywhere with this guy. I didn't think it would be a good idea to tell a 5 year old that it was okay she could just take this toy home and have Barbie  introduce him to her mom as her new "bad boy" boyfriend.  I didn't think that would go over to well with Barbie or Bailey's Mom.  So off we went to eat our lunch. Well that was not a good thing either because then she was able to see all of the other kids toys and some of them had horses (of course the horses were cooler than her stupid toy) so the tears started again. So back to the counter I went.  I asked another employee if we could trade her toy for one of the horses.  This guy did it, so here I am proud as can be that I was able to trade her toy to the horse, but oh no........wait .....now she wants BOTH of the toys!
Ugghhh, I forgot what it was like having a 5 year old!

Getting ready to leave she had to put her boots back on and this image does not give you the full effect of how difficult this task was.  I am sure she was being a little dramatic but I was laughing so hard it didn't matter.  She had to lay on the bench with her feet flipping around in the air trying to get these silly boots on.  It was hilarious!
Thanks for a great day kid!
Here we are getting ready to leave. I know I joke about my lunch with her but I had a wonderful time and I just LOVE this kid. She made my day! She is so adorable and watching her grow up just amazes me. I can't believe she is already 5 years old and going to school. It seems like the time has gone by so fast.
I LUV YA!!

That is so much fun spending time with your Aunt, just ask Sherry about the time she used to spend with her Aunt Carla, I know she has some fond memories.

Let's not go over Sherry's memories with Aunt Carla. She reminds me of them all the time.

That is so fun Val! You're the best Aunt!
Take advantage of the time while you have it because you never know when it will be gone.
I love the picture of you two together. You both look so pretty.
